We are happy to announce that as of February 5, 2010, Team Ortho Foundation re-opened the Monster Marathon Series, when we added the Get Lucky! 7K race. The addition of a fifth race allows runners the opportunity and a little flexibility to get in on the series yet this year.

With the Monster Marathon Series, athletes register for four of our five races and you get 4 races, 4 medals and 3 gifts!

Monster Marathon Series 2.0 -- the Reopening

Folks at Team Ortho Foundation heard that some people who wanted to do the 2010 Monster Series didn't sign up because they had a conflict with just one race. What a bummer! So if that describes you- this is your opportunity to sign up with the addition of the Get Lucky! Introducing Monster Marathon Series 2.0! We want to make the series available to Every BODY!

Get Lucky is now closed for general registration.  But you will still be able to register for the Monster Marathon Series by signing up for a charitable donation slot. Charitable slots are limited and cost $77, but $35 of it is tax deductible.

There are now two ways to register for the Monster Marathon Series:

1.  If you didn't race in the Polar Dash -- sign up for each individual race listed below starting with Get Lucky.
2.  If you did the Polar Dash, then select three of the four races for 2010 listed below and you'll automatically be entered into the series.

Registration Now Open for Charitable Slots  in the Get Lucky -- March 20, 2010

Register for Minneapolis Marathon or Half Marathon -- June 6, 2010

Register for Minneapolis Duathlon, du relay, bike time trial or 5K -- August 29, 2010

Register for Monster Dash Half Marathon or 10 Mile -- October 30, 2010

Series members will receive a series fleece and your Duathlon jersey in the mail. Your lucite display for your four medals (including the Get Lucky) will be given to you at the Minneapolis Marathon. Register soon before the 300 series slots slip away!

Monster Marathon Series FAQ

Some of you have had questions about getting into the series and getting your SWAG. Here are some answers to some most common ones.

Which races are included in the series registration?

These events are included in the Monster Marathon Series registration:

You pick four of these five events:

Polar Dash(2010, already completed)
Get Lucky! 7K (new!)
Minneapolis Marathon and Half Marathon
Minneapolis Duathlon (individual, 2 person relay or 3 person relay), Bike Time Trial or 5K run only
Monster Dash Half Marathon and 10 Mile

Two races not included in the series are the Minneapolis Marathon 5K and the Monster Dash 5K.

Is it too late to sign up for the Monster Marathon Series?

Monster Marathon Series registration just reopened when we added the Get Lucky! 7K.  It will remain open until the Get Lucky on March 20th or we fill the 300 series spots, which ever comes first.

How do I register for the series?

1.  If you didn't race in the Polar Dash -- sign up for each four events that fill out the remainder of 2010 starting with Get Lucky! 7K.
2.  If you did the Polar Dash, then select three of the remaining four races for 2010 and you'll automatically be entered into the series.

I didn’t get my fleece or du jersey at the Polar Dash packet pickup, when will I receive that?

Registrations after February 5th will receive their Monster Series Fleeces shortly after registration.  People who registered for the series during or shortly after the Polar Dash should have received their fleeces by January 31st, 2010.  If you didn't receive your fleece, go to Contact Us and click on the "registration" dropdown.

The Minneapolis Duathlon Bike Jerseys will be mailed out no later than February 14th, 2010.

When do we get our 4-medal display?

Monster Marathon Series participants will be able to pick up their free medal holders at the Minneapolis Marathon.
