At the inaugural Minneapolis Marathon in 2009, thousands of runners came to Downtown Minneapolis for what proved a great race!  Here is what some of the runners had to say:

"This is better than anything I could have hoped for. It feels good to be a part of it," said Chris Grupe, a 38-year-old Iraq war veteran from Richfield told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  Chris had returned from his tour in Iraq in time to run the Marathon. 

"What a great day and run. I really enjoyed the race. Team Ortho did a fantastic job. Thanks for a fun filled day." K.T. told us on the Marathon event page on Facebook

"This was the best half marathon I have ever run in! Best organized run, loved the pacers, loved all the motivational signs. This is a five-star event for Mpls. Congrats!" - Half Marathon runner responding to post-race survey

"I had an absolute BLAST at the marathon a few weeks ago. You can bet I'm gonna be there in '10!" J.L from Detroit told us in June 2009 via Facebook.
